The Entry-Level students use Method Writing: The First Four Concepts. This book provides the syllabus for the foundational concepts:

  1. Writing Like You Talk
  2. The Transformation Line
  3. Image-Moment
  4. The “Dreaded” Association Exercise

Why Take The Advanced Classes?

There are eight more levels to explore. After completing the advanced levels you will delve into writers, poets, musicians, and artists.

For the advanced students, levels 2 – 8, we use Advanced Method Writing: The Art of Tonal Dynamics as our syllabus. As you move through these levels your writing will transform in front of your eyes. There are four basic voices, or we could say tones, that characterize all great writing. You will learn the subtle shifts in tonal dynamics, this is the heart of the method.

I also offer a class that takes a more in-depth look at the Image Moment concept that was studied in the Entry-Level class. We focus on creating indelible, vivid moments that come to life for the reader.
